Frequently asked questions

Can you direct as well as shoot?

Yes. I work as DOP under a director, or I can take on the director/filmmaker role for the right project. Get in touch and tell me where you are, I'll be straight with you about what makes sense.

Do you work on early-stage projects?

Yes. Some of my best work has come from conversations that started before a single frame was shot. If you've got a subject or a story and you're not sure what to do with it yet, that's a good time to talk.

Can you shoot outside Birmingham?

Yes, I'm based in Birmingham but regularly shoot across the UK. Travel and accommodation quoted separately for overnight shoots.

Do you bring your own kit?

I have a full owner-operator kit package including camera, lenses, lighting, and rigging. I don't rent kit standalone, it comes with me as the cinematographer on your shoot.
